minus the house wife part.
I’ve always wanted to do a 1940’s type of photo shoot, but just never got around to do it. Until today. This sudden urge to accomplish my long awaited dream (not really…but read on) came upon me while I was contemplating reading more of Great Expectations for school. So I asked myself, photography lesson (insert smile) or school? This decision (in my mind) wasn’t worth debating over and it took less than 1/4 of a second to choose my option. I went and pulled out the red lipstick, multi-colored striped apron, white blanket, and of course, my camera. My mom helped take these shots and I think they came out fantastic. A little boost of color in Lightroom* and voilà! the perfect 1940’s look.
{btw, just in case you are wondering, right after taking these shots I picked up that book and read 5 chapters. That there is commitment to the extreme!}
Here are a few of my favorites from today.
more to come…so stay tuned!
