I am thankful

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday...right behind Christmas. Because Christmas is a lot more important with Jesus' birth and all. But Thanksgiving starts off that wonderful time of year when Christmas music blares from every street corner, oversized sweaters are back in style, and when you can get that excuse to drink your 8th cup of hot chocolate. Or eggnog. Either one.

But in all honesty, Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because of the family gatherings and the food. Oh how I absolutely love Thanksgiving dinner. Just thinking about it makes me want to run to my fridge and divy out some of the leftovers from last night.

This Thanksgiving I really thought about all we have to be thankful for. God is so good and I am so incredibly blessed to have the life I have. I am thankful for:

getting to see my friend/brother for a few hours on Wednesday *photo credit to my mom*
(ignore bags under eyes. drove for 3 hours straight, ok?)

getting to spend time with family at my grandparents house

taking photos of antique-looking stuff in my grandparents house (AKA: detail central)

and these semi-freaky salt and pepper shakers...

beautiful flowers that make me smile

Jasmine Star's (j*) new photography magazine, EXPOSED, that I got to read with my mom

and putting up the Christmas tree!

Thankful for all of my fellow bloggers who leave me sweet comments! Love you all and hope you had a safe, delicious Thanksgiving. :)

Bling - Part I

I have always loved photographing details, whether it be things in nature or crafts. I absolutely love looking at engagement/wedding ring shots because, come on...who doesn't? But since I am not a wedding photographer, I do not have the option of brides, which means no pretty bling to take pictures of.
Well, today I had my mom clean her rings until they sparkled and then headed out into the 40 degree weather to shoot some bling.
